How it works
Three steps, and the third is the one that matters

Log it with proof
Photograph the receipt, or mark that you don't have one. Amount, date, and category fill themselves in. Saving is final.

Your co-parent is notified
Delivery and read time are recorded. They can confirm or dispute — with their own proof.

Silence becomes part of the record
After 7 days with no response, the entry is marked. Nothing was hidden from anyone.

Questions
Is this admissible in court?
Admissibility is decided by the judge, every time. What we guarantee is integrity and timestamps you can verify, exported as a certified PDF with a hash for every attachment. Federal Rule of Evidence 902(13) lets a records custodian certify a system-generated record so it can authenticate itself. State family courts vary. We never call this evidence, proof, or a guarantee of outcome.
What if my co-parent won't join?
It works with one parent. You log, attach proof, and keep going. The invitation is itself recorded — sent, ignored, or refused — with a date. When they do join later, they see the history and have 30 days to dispute the older entries.
Can I delete something I regret?
No. That's the point. You can add a correction that points to the original. Both stay visible, in the app and in every export. Entries without proof are labeled as such. We never hide the gap.
What makes this different from other co-parenting apps?
One subscription covers both parents instead of billing each of you. It works before the other parent signs up — your record starts on day one, alone if it has to. The price is on this page. And silence after seven days is a state in the record, not a message that never came.
Do I need a lawyer to use this?
No. Set Straight is a record, not a law firm. It will not tell you what to file, who is right, or what a judge will do. If you have a lawyer, the certified export is what you hand them instead of a folder of screenshots.
What if I don't have a receipt?
You can still log it. You mark that you have no proof, and that mark is permanent — in the record and in every export. It still counts, and it's still dated. A declared entry is weaker than an entry with a photo, and we don't pretend otherwise.
Who pays?
Whoever starts the record. One Family subscription covers both parents. The invited parent never sees a paywall. If the paying parent cancels, both of you keep reading everything; new entries, messages, and exports pause. Nothing is deleted.
Can I use this with a protective order?
Yes — that's one of the reasons the product exists. There is no location, no "online", no "typing". You can block messages without breaking the child's record. Notifications are batched, not live. The other parent is not told that you blocked them. This is not a substitute for a court order or a safety plan.
Who can see information about my child?
You, and the co-parent on that child's record. We don't show a profile photo, a public page, or a feed. A lawyer sees only what you export. We don't sell data. Children cannot have accounts — you have to be 18.
What happens if I delete my account?
Your login goes away and you stop using the app. Entries already in a child's record stay, because they are also the other parent's record and may be needed to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim. We tell you what we will not delete, and why. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Is my location tracked?
No. Not collected, not stored, not shown. Face ID or a fingerprint, if you turn that on, never leaves your phone.
Can I export without a subscription?
Not yet. Certified exports are part of the Family plan. Recording, attachments, notifications and disputes stay free, and the record is always yours to read.
